Talented teen songbird Marissa Grace has recently been quoted as ‘one to take notice of now’. Having been featured on FOX5, KUSI News, Good Morning San Diego and KYXY radio, and multiple publications, this singer/songwriter/musician is most focused on one thing – to share her music and provide a positive and upbeat message towards today’s youth.
“I’m passionate about singing and songwriting, and I love that my music makes people happy,” she says enthusiastically.
Marissa started taking piano lessons at the age of 4, quickly followed by vocal lessons. Fast forward 10 years later, she has also picked up the guitar, ukulele, a little bass, and has formed a full 5 piece band. But she is truly focused on singing and songwriting. And after her band’s recent performance at the House of Blues, she was featured in the The Reader magazine as one of San Diego’s up and coming local musicians.
This past year, Marissa has performed LIVE at many venues. She opened the 10th Anniversary of ArtWalk at Liberty Station, as well as America on Main Street Festival, Belmont Park’s Summer “Family Nights”, the San Diego County Fair, Balboa Park’s December Nights and more. Aside from the House of Blues, her other favorite stage has been on field at Petco Park, and this summer she and her band have the privilege of performing at America’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She continues building her loyal social-media fan base, as seen on her YouTube channel and Instagram, and donates her time and talent to the local Ronald McDonald House of Charities.
Along with her weekly vocal, piano and guitar lessons, Marissa stays focused on achieving academic success (honor student), and enjoys playing club soccer, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite downtime is hanging at home with the family’s 3 dogs.
